"De-Monetisation" of Students Continues!!!

Good Morning all:) It's been long since I have written a blog. But never too late to share something very very important. 17 January 2016-CA Final Results announced- I FAILED. 17 January 2017-CA Final Results announced - I FAILED again but with an Exemption in one subject (Law)! Wondering what's an exemption? If you score 60 and above in any of the subjects you are exempted from writing that paper again. Was I happy with my result? Third attempt and still couldn't clear my papers. Am I failure? Am I weak student? Am I that foolish that I can't be among the 7% pass students? The answer is a big "NO". Coming to my exam preparations - Neither I could study for 20 hours a day nor did I even intend to do that.  But my aim was to study smart and not hard. Attended the fast track courses, revised almost everything as this was the third time I'm studying and remained calm before my exams. Then comes the exam time and the first paper - FINANCIAL REPORTING (Layma...

MS Dhoni- The untold story !

“If you have a dream, don’t just sit there. Gather courage to believe that you can succeed and leave no stone unturned to make it a reality"-Roopleen Dhoni!Dhoni!Dhoni!  This wasn't just a movie. This was a learning. This was a Journey. This was all about friendship. This was about love, passion and courage. This was epic. This was all about MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI !! Firstly, Anupam Kher sir was just fantastic. Neeraj Pandey's films are incomplete without Anupam Sir. His comic timing, his expressions, his care for his son's future, his commitment to his work, even though being a pump contractor, were phenomenal. Anupam sir's scene when Dhoni hits the winning runs makes us actually feel how proud would Paan Singh Dhoni (Dhoni's father) would have actually felt that moment. Bow down to you Anupam sir. Your acting just gets better with age. Secondly, Dhoni's friends , coaches and his colleagues at his work at railways were a treat to watch. E...

The Royal Challengers of Bengaluru- The  RCB                                            Its About TIME !! #IPL 15 MAY 2015- RCB v SRH -Must win game for RCB to stay in the title race. RCB had a very bad record at Hyderabad and one can never forget the most heartbreaking loss to Deccan Chargers in the year 2012 which eventually led to missing out on finishing in top 4 and CSK (Dhoni's LUCK) qualified.  Something similiar was happening in 2015 match too. Rain Curtailed match and Warner and ex-RCB Player Moises Henriques ripping apart the RCB Bowling. As a Frustrated (Loyal too) fan I had tweeted saying RCB will surely lose and were making fun of themselves by dropping simple catches. Guess the tweet hit the raw nerves of some RCB fans and SID Mallya replied saying I shouldnt call myself a FAN of the team. Angrily more so frustrated I repl...

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”  ―  Paulo Coelho ,  The Alchemist Hey everyone. Before I begin let me wish you all a very Happy and a Prosperous new year 2016 !! Many may wonder, by reading my title, why begin the new year on a negative note. Nah!! Don't worry I'm not inspired by Indian Media and their style of Journalism where they believe only Negativity Sells. I would love to take this wonderful opportunity to express few things which I have experienced this new year.  Taking you all back to November 2015, one of the most important months in a CA Student's life, I had appeared in my CA Final exam conducted by the ICAI. Exams were done and dusted and the stress for preparing and then writing the exam was done but then there was "The tension" about the results which were to be announced in the month of January 2016. On a lighter note, this is the period when we start remembering as many Gods a...
The 'B S R' Journey- A Bliss with a Miss!! “ 13 May 2013:Monday-21 December 2015:Monday” !! C ollege to  C orporate Life - An Unforgettable Journey!! The most unexpected moment has arrived to say goodbye, which is never easy, especially when you have been part of the B S R family for a little over 2 and a half years .It has been a fantastic journey and a great learning experience where I have enjoyed each and every moment and I appreciate having had the opportunity to work with each one with whom I have interacted. Before I bid  goodbye I would take this opportunity to share a few special moments of my articleship tenure in the firm. All the partners of the firm have been an inspiration and bonding with few of them on the cricket field or during the offsite was a very special moment. Whenever I watch Richard Rekhy (our CEO) and many other KPMG directors on news channels discussing the important issues of the country and knowing that our firm is playing an importa...

C ricket !! The Game no one knew how it had arrived. In 1975, the first ever Cricket World Cup being played and everyone just knew that there was a game being played for 60 overs between the top teams. West Indies, was like a team on a mission, conquering the World cup for two years, 1975 and 1979, in a row but were given a reality check in 1983 by India. The entire world realized that West Indies are not unbeatable and concentrated harder to win the World Cup. Those days of Cricket, played in whites, were a delight to watch and the only way the teams could be differentiated was  from the color of their respective helmets or caps. The players were just concentrating on their techniques and the method of playing cricket rather than style.  1992 - A Colorful Cricket World Cup 1992 World cup, first time, the world cup was played with colored clothing. This World cup reminded me of the colorful Holi Festival in our country. It was pleasing to the eyes to see t...
